This is the first grammar in English of a language of the Songhay family of West Africa. The emphasis is on grammatical categories and morphosyntax. Topics of special interest are focalization and relativization, logophoric pronouns, conjunction, and serial verbs. The factual presentation is straightforward, without theory-specific formalisms.
