This study focuses on three major questions in an effort to define and measure cultural, political, and demographic forces that drive globalization. First, what have the different national industries contributed to the globalization process, and how has this affected the rankings of passively and actively participating national economies? Second, how significant have the billions of dollars in foreign direct investments been to the world’s output of products and services? Finally, what are the political implications of America’s most recent neo-conservative doctrine of the new world order or the _New American Century_ on globalization’s future?
